Back on Tuesday, April 21st I drove all the way to Roseville in the evening after work (it took me nearly 2 hours to get there – after work traffic ya know) to take a class on making cupcakes at Green Trangerines. For those of you who don’t know, Green Trangerines is a scrapbooking store and I know you are asking yourself “why in the world would you drive all that way to learn to make cupcakes and on a week night to boot!” . . . actually this is what my hubby asked with some confusion in he voice . . . here is the reason why . . .

THE CUPCAKE IS A GIFT CARD HOLDER! Isn’t it cute!!!! When I saw it on display at the scrapbooking store I knew I had to learn how to make them. They are made of paper and ribbon with flower sprinkles and a wooden cherry on top . . . it was a fun, fast evening (only had 2 hours to do this in – which explains why its a little crooked – I just tell everyone my stove legs need to be balanced again). We were given enough supplies in the kit to make 2 of these cuties . . . and I have started to make the other one at home . . .
I will be giving that one to my hubby for his desk at work with a picture of our granddaughter in it instead of a gift card because he calls her “cupcake” . . .
Well that’s all for now . . . have a great day . . .
Oooh, this looks totally YUMMY!!!! I actually thought it was REAL, lol!!!! This is fabulous and I LOVE that store, so if you ever need a partner, I am your woman – heehee!! Can’t wait ’till tomorrow and scrappin’ at PSB!!!! And, my big reveal *wink*
Tasty looking cupcake. Makes me hungry 🙂
